It all started on a very hot day at the track.  We realized we spend so much time keeping an eye on simple but important vital signs of our cars.  Coolant temp, for example, is a value the E46 gauge doesn't even bother to report accurately.  Is it getting hot?  Should we cool down?  Simple questions, not easy to answer with the information we had.  What happened?  Well, we spent a lot of time off track cooling down that we probably could've spent on the track enjoying ourselves.
